Gypsum powder is a fine, white or off-white powder obtained by grinding natural gypsum mineral (calcium sulfate dihydrate). It is widely used in construction, agriculture, and industrial applications. In construction, gypsum acts as a setting retarder and workability enhancer in cement and plaster, providing smooth finishes in walls and ceilings. It is also the primary material for producing plaster of Paris (POP). Gypsum improves fire resistance, reduces shrinkage, and enhances strength in mortars and plaster. Additionally, it is used in soil conditioning in agriculture and as a filler or binder in various industrial products.
